Does anyone know what weight motor oil to use on a Chevy 350 small block?

5 W 30 or 10 W 30Does anyone know what weight motor oil to use on a Chevy 350 small block?
gear lube if it knocks real bad!Does anyone know what weight motor oil to use on a Chevy 350 small block?
On or in it? 10-30 10-40.
depends on the use, and the temp of your envroment. and the mileage. hot weather calls for heavier wieght while cold requires lighter wieight. and the higher the mileage the heavier the oil should be.
Use 10W-30 synthetic it will make the engine run longer
if it gets cold, use lighter oil in the winter,5-30, summer,10-40 will work nicely.
10-40 summer, 10-30 winter
10W-30. I have seen 10W-40 used once in a while and rarely 5W-30.
This time of year, the lightest you can find. A good all-round compromise would be 10W-40. Picking a brand is like the standard arm-wrestling between Ford and Chevy and Mopar lovers. But FWIW, I like Castrol best.
