Has anyone ever heard of taking coconut oil to lose weight?

Has anyone ever heard of taking coconut oil to lose weight? I read in a book called Natural Cures that taking extra virgin organic coconut oil will help you lose weight. I bought some and it seems to be working.Has anyone ever heard of taking coconut oil to lose weight?
Isn't natural cures by that guy who loves to sell junk science - Keven Trudeau? I wouldn't trust him further than I could throw him. He's a huge scammer.

That said, coconut oil itself is healthy. I only keep two oils in my house - olive and coconut. I use the coconut oil in place of butter for baking low-carb treats.

Dump Trudeau and keep the coconut oil.Has anyone ever heard of taking coconut oil to lose weight?
I have hear of it to use in place of other oils to reduce the fat content when using oil in cooking. However I do know someone that has become almost depended on it daily.
i use coconut oil on all my cooking its a healthier way to cook rather than corn oil and vegetable oil. The vegetarians use it a lot as well to cook too.
Are you replacing other fats in your diet with coconut oil--like when you fry your eggs, etc.? How are you using it?

Please keep me updated on your progress--my e-mail is on my avatar. If this works on you, I'm on it!!

TX Mom
no i've never heard of it before.

but im glad its working for you :)

maybe i'll try it.
No, the only way to lose weight is eating less.

If you eat the same things as now but in less quantity you'll get slimmer.
Everything under the sun has been pitched for weight loss. Only thing that works is calorie management and exercise. Or, lap band surgery.
