Very Important- How do I calculate the molecular weight of an oil with high amount of fatty acids?

P.S. I am given saponification and acid numbers.Very Important- How do I calculate the molecular weight of an oil with high amount of fatty acids?
you can only calculate for the average molecular weight, since an oil contains various fatty acids (with different MWs). you can compute for the # of moles from the acid and saponification values. # moles = weight of oil / MW.Very Important- How do I calculate the molecular weight of an oil with high amount of fatty acids?
well, the oil is made up of individual molecules, each molecule has the same weight, so write out the molecular formula and then add up all the atomic weights. i dont see what the problem is. you dont need its structure or anything.
