That's just ';infomercial'; fake junk. All those testimonial are just fake.
There are four types of coconut oil: Refined oil (not suitable for consumption); Hydrogenated oil, Fractionated oil (both have elevated saturated fat and their regular consumption can lead to increase the risk of developing a cardiovascular disease); Virgin coconut oil (this one is said to be healthier and to help prevent cardiovascular diseases and other problems BUT more studies are needed since there is nothing final; the biggest problem is that unlike ';virgin olive oil'; there is nobody controlling the ';virgin coconut oil'; so anyone can sell you motor oil (this is exaggerating but you got the point) and claim to be ';virgin coconut oil';).
So don't start taking coconut oil like a mad man; like any other oil, take it in moderation.Has anyone really lost weight with coconut oil?
ive lost 24 lbs! Ive stopped consuming anything that has hydrogenated fats (Soy, corn and safflower oils Cottonseed oil, Canola oil) and high fructose corn syrup (harder then it sounds!) 鈥攁nd you will see noticeable weight loss improvements, and health improvements!
Also started using coconut oil or real butter to cook with instead of hydrogenated oils and spreads... The energy i have now is so impresive compared to what it was 6 months ago before i started using coconut oil. Believe it or not, medium chained fatty acids (mostly in butterfat and the tropical oils) They go straight to your liver where they produce energy, compaired to long chain fatty acids (Hydronated oils,) absorb as fat)
So give it a try what do you have to loose?
I dont know about coconut oil but I take b-12 and it is great... it gives you tons of engery and it suppose to speed up the metabolism also
Coconut oil contributes 9.0 calories per gram, the same as any other fat.
