Opinions on the fact that America has more oil than the middle east?

Forbes did a report on this back in 2003 and stated that America has more oil than the middle east.





What are you opinions on using it or why we shouldn't use it?





Do you think this statement is true?





Why wouldn't more people know about this, SHOULD people know about this?





Do you think it could cause more war?


Do you think tapping our own resources is worth it due to the lowered cost of fuel it would bring?


Or do you think we'd just all go right back to using more and more and more because it was cheap?





Personally I believe the expensive prices are the best thing that ever happened to us.


Do you think we should buy other countries resources as long as we have the money to, to keep from using up our own UNTIL we find more fuel efficient ways to live?

The United States use to export oil. Back in the good old days.

First, I don't believe what you have stated and bet you didn''t know that oil prices are set by the State of Texas, not overseas oil. This is provable.
Most of that is in oil shale which is very expensive to get.
If that were true there wouldn't have been an Iraq war.....
