What brand and weight of oil should I use in my 2007 Honda Shadow 750 Spirit? Also, how many quarts does it take?

Any quality brand of 10W-40 or 5W-50 will do. Change the oil filter at least every other oil change; many do it with every change, but that's more frequent than necessary. I don't know how much oil it will take; probably 3 to 4 quarts with a half quart extra when the oil filter is also changed.
Other things to check are: Hose condition, Coolant level, Brake Fluid level, Battery connections, Brake pad wear, and Windshield washer fluid level. Also periodically check the tires for abnormal as well as normal wearWhat brand and weight of oil should I use in my 2007 Honda Shadow Spirit 750?
