The car has 238,000 miles on a rebuild 60,000 miles ago, and the previous owner told me to use Castrol GTX when I change the oil. I just forgot the weight number.What is the recommended motor oil weight for a 1992 240sx with a KA24DE motor?
take a look under the hood there should be a chart that specifies the weight for temp. When I had mine I looked at it I believe it was 10w30/ 10w40 in the winter 20w50 in the summer. depending on where you live and how hot it gets in the winter I'd maybe run 20w50 in it alll the time, high revving 4 cylinder motors need the extra protectionWhat is the recommended motor oil weight for a 1992 240sx with a KA24DE motor?
10w30 would do find but in Warner condition 10w40 would be better. remember to change your oil and filter every 3500 or 4000 miles. the oil now a days is better and you can run it a little longer,
You may be able to use wither 10w30 or 10w40. depending on where you live and the type of weather you have there.
