When will the Libs ever face the fact that the War was never about OIL?

My, my does somebody know how to rile the masses up??? I love it, I'll say that After I was there for the first one, The oil means nothing. It was all about a president that had big brass ones just like his Father. He wanted to quit getting pushed around on the playground. And The final push was 9/11When will the Libs ever face the fact that the War was never about OIL?
I never once thought invading Iraq was about oil. But I'm not dumb enough to be live the ';official'; reasons either.

On the other hand if it wasn't for oil, we wouldn't care whatever happens to Saudia Arabia, Iran, Iraq or the rest of that part of the world. When will the Libs ever face the fact that the War was never about OIL?
It was about non existant wmds, and to show the wrold that we are mighty and might makes right! Like Hitler before him once used the burning of the reichstag as an excuse to make war. Why didnt Bush go after those who attackked us on 911? Because hes been in bed with the saudi's , you know Saudi Arabia, the home of 18 of the 19 high jackers, you know Bin Laddens home land and where his funds are channeled?
As soon as Cons admit that Bush is the worst President we have ever been stuck with it.
Libs love a good lie. Just ask Clinton. Anyway, I'm with you. This whole war-for-oil argument is ridiculous. If it were a war for oil why isn't gas 25 cents a gallon?
They never will accept it. Most still believe the first Gulf War was about oil. Never mind the fact that a brutal dictator launched an unprovoked invasion of a neighboring country, pillaged it, and murdered and raped its inhabitants.

And Stephanie, I don't know how Bush will be judged in the end; however, he could only ever be the 4th worst President in US history, since Jimmy Cater, Lyndon Johnson, and Bill Clinton have all held that office.
Hey Sassi, did you notice how much of a sore spot this is? The Libs start scrambling just like a bunch of 3 year olds lying about who spilled the milk! That tells me they have faced the fact but will lie about it until they reclaim the presidency.
Never. That is inconsistent with their world view.
If they understood anything about economics, they'd know that it was never about oil, but they don't understand the most basic ideas in economics, so they need conspiracy theories to fill the gap.
I thought it was WMD's, what are you changing your story
Why did we pick Iraq first of the ';Axis of Evil?'; The atrocities that Kim Jung Il is perpetrating against his people are far worse than Saddam. He has WMD. He has an effective delivery system for WMD that can reach American shores. Why wasn't he first?
you are correct in a sense. this war in particular isnt about oil.

however, the reason we are involved in the middleast in the first place is oil. dont get me wrong, i'm not a bleeding heart lib crying ';no war for oil';, we are in the middle east because a very important resource is there. it's realpolitik, basically, we need oil to survive so we remain involved in the region.
then if it wasnt about gaining a foot hold into the 2 or 3 largest oil producing country then what was it about?that bush actually cares about the iraqi people... oh please give me a break!
It partially about oil and a whole heck of other things. The WMD story was the simple bumper-sticker mentality thing that the prez needed to sell the war.

Is is about oil-- not stealing it-- but getting the business to find it, pump it, transport it, etc.

The war is/was about:

- stability in the region

- securing future oil access - for US companies to work in Iraq eventually, to keep their oil traded in dollars vs Euros (sadaam was planning that + he was working deals with ruskies, germans an french minimally)

- ending the policy of containment

- a place we could ';garrison'; for generations to keep Iran at bay etc.

- pay-back for Sadaam

- WMD's was only a piece of it and mostly a red herring.

- oh, and the big one is-- to fund the military industrial complex-- halliburton, boeing, grumman, etc. etc. -- you know, they guys we buy military and infrastruture hardware and services from?

Geez, are you bush-supporters so dumb to think that this is not about money and power? How naive can you be? If you want to find out the reasons for something-- follow the money.
Just as soon as YOU can explain articles like these:

And for the genius that asked about 25 cent oil: it isn't about GETTING oil; it's about CONTROLLING oil.

Why do wingnuts almost never know what they're talking about?
About a generation after the history books are rewritten to exclude inconvenient facts like the installation of Pahlavi, assistance to Hussein, CIA training of insurgents in Afghanistan to oppose the Soviets, and so on. In other words, after the truth is carefully covered up people will begin to see things the way you do.
How can they when in fact it IS about oil? What other reason was there to invade Iraq? They had no weapons and we KNEW that. They were not involved with 9/11 and we KNEW that. The takeover of Iraq had been called for by the neo cons long before 9/11.

Oh wait, Dubya was mad at Hussein. And then there was all that OIL.
They won't!!
If you check, just two days before the last election, Bush argued that a Republican loss could result in ';$300 a barrel oil.';

Go back six spaces and draw another ';talking points'; card.

.
what was it about then?
About the time a bunch of oil-executive Republicans invade North Korea because there is an evil dictator in power there.
when republicans realize the war was only to line republican pockets, at the cost of lives. why do you say blame libs for this everyone said this at one time. if we would have done this for oil gas prices would have gone down, but they doubled and so did oil co. profits.
Oil, or terroist makes no difference. These kind of questions makes my blood boil. The oil is being pumped out by American industry, it's our oil. THANK YOU BUSH. The freaks over there came over here and BLEW UP OUR BUILDINGS. So we go there and kick the s**t out of them, there mothers that gave birth to them, their brothers that loaned them money, their dad for raising them and their kids and sisters just for the HELLof it.
well.... actually it will come out one day that is has alot to do with oil but not how they say in a negative view. It is an underlying means to an end and has to be supressed to protect the overall mission. It will be viewed as cynical but as a necessity..
Never about oil? lmao Please read and learn and understand.
What do you think it was about, sunshine? There's no other explanation that makes any sense at all.

I tell you what. We waged a war that has cost us $450 billion -- so far. We borrowed money from foreign governments to finance war for the first time in American history, and also had tax cuts during war time for the first time in American history.

So, for God's sake, this war better have been for economic benefit. And, what other economic benefit is to be had in Iraq? Used wool rugs? Camel-saddles?
It was you f*** b**ch, why else would we be there, GOD America is screwed with braindead people like you running goverment.
They can't. It would mean learning the truth and accepting facts... both are foreign concepts to them.
Wow. This CHILD seems to think she knows all the answers, but like any good moron, er, I mean Republican, she won't enlighten the rest of us. Why not? Too scared? Or just blowing smoke to try to sound like you know what you're talking about?

Grab a weapon and stand a post, then maybe I'll listen to what you have to say, until then, shut up and let the grown ups talk.
If we were taking Iraq's oil, our gasoline would be about 60 cents a gallon.

Even a school child can figure that. But that would be too complicated for liberals to understand.
they're crazy. they will never understand. they're retarded.
