Does anyone have an idea with running lighter weight oil in a 2001 Civic?

I am using 5W-20 as prescribed on the oil cap, but now want to use 0W-20, or 0W-30 synthetic. Any chance of anything not being properly lubricated? The car was bought new and now has 55K on it, and has had Amsoil synthetic in it for the last 2 years.Does anyone have an idea with running lighter weight oil in a 2001 Civic?
The Mobil 1 0w-20 was made specifically for Hondas. Use it without worry, it's the best oil made, in my opinion.Does anyone have an idea with running lighter weight oil in a 2001 Civic?
Why not stay with the oil recommended? If you are using the synthetic then stay with it. A friend had over 220,000 on a S-10 pickup and it sounded like new. Always changed the oil every 3000mi and the filter. If it works, don't fix it.
i own a shop, and your not going to have any problems with things not getting lubricated in it,thinner oil will lubricate a lot better, but it also drains down a lot faster and doesn't stay on things that need it as long, but it will get everything that needs it plenty of oil,i cant understand why your wanting to go less, its not going to help the car any at all doing this, but you can do it,but that oil is going to be like water in it,good luck i hope this helps.
