being one who worked at valvoline and hearing every single day that motor magazine rated our snythetic number 1, id have to go with valvoline oil weight 10w30.What is the best type of oil and weight for Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 4x4?
One additional point, take a look on the internet for Low Zinc Additives in Motor Oil. Zinc has been the main additive in motor oil for years and is now almost gone with few people noticing the change. The main difference in Desiel oil is the larger percentage of zinc in that oil. After market flat tappet cams are failing. Many believe that he low zinc levels are, at least in part to this change. You can get Desiel motor oil at most auto part stores. My two cents.

castrol gtx is by far overall best ive witnessed tests personally on 100,000 mile engines.the wieght depends on location and season,if its hot out go with 10w40 if its cold go with 5w30.
