Isn't it disgraceful that one American life should have been lost in the quest for oil and the enrichment of oil billionaire friends of the GOP?Remove Saddam and get their oil, Is there anyone who STILL deny the facts?
Sadly my husband has been brainwashed by the Republicans into thinking that this war was never about oil. He tells me all the time: ';You know, they DID find WMDs over there and they would have used them. It was all about the WMDs. It was never about oil or any of Bush's other hidden agendas. It was about 9/11!'; Yeah, right, if it was about 9/11 then why is Osama still on the loose? If we had have invaded Afghanistan with 1/2 the force that we used in Iraq Osama would have been killed years ago.Remove Saddam and get their oil, Is there anyone who STILL deny the facts?
I can because the US isn't just taking Iraq's oil and not paying for it.





Now if the Democrats (aka liberals) had done that they would be saying Iraq should be giving the US a portion of the oil produced because they are producing so much and the US is producing so little. After all isn't that what they want to do using taxes? If you make a lot of money you should be 'made' to give your money to someone who's making less.
Yes there are still and always will be people who deny the facts to a smaller or bigger degree, I'd even say most.





The facts are the GOP or the Bush White House could have never carried this out without the support and complicity of the Democrats. Yet so many still want to promote illusions and minimize, deny or excuse their part in this tragedy



The whole ';war for oil'; thing is a lie.





Strictly from a business standpoint, the war has cost us far more money than we could ever hope to get back from the oil revenues.





If oil was our real reason for going to war, sir, we would not have invaded Iraq. We would have invaded Venezuela.





Venezuela, after all, has a lot of oil, and its military isn't nearly as strong as Iraq's was.





And as an added bonus, we would have been toppling a not-so-nice dictator there too.





';War for oil'; is a tired old liberal cliche. It's a lie.





Actually, ';tired old liberal cliche'; and ';lie'; are usually one and the same.

If we have gotten there oil we have lower gas prices so look at the pump prices when you get a chance.





If was about oil no one would go to war in Iraq or anywhere in the Middle East because every time someone does the price goes up.

where have you been living? Saddam ignored the UN sanctions, was given a year and a half and then we did what we told him would be done. It was not about oil but human injustice.
