You are wrong when you say that all of civilization needs Oil. Civilization sprang up long before the Combustion Engine. There are a myriad of other sources of energy as well. The vast Oil Corporations and those who are in their Pocket need the Oil. You are right when you say we cannot quit Oil Tomorrow. The way our Society runs we do need this Oil until we can design Engines that run on something else. I am not against the War in Iraq because i think that it is a War for Oil. I am against the War in Iraq because we went about it the completely wrong way, and we were lied to. If our Commander and Cheif had designed a War plan that would have actually worked and had told us that we needed to control that region of the World. I would have much less problem with it. If those in power were not using this farce of the War on Terror in order to gain more power and money at a large cost to us as American Citizens. I would have much less problem with this War. If our Commander and Cheifs FAMILY was not directly tied to the Bin Ladens personally and financially i would have much less problem with these Wars. If we had actually caught and killed the People responsible for the attacks on our Country i would have much less problem with these Wars. The sad fact is that these Wars are not being fought to better the Average Americans life. These Wars are being fought to CONTROL. To control us and the rest of the World. To turn every corner of the Globe into a sickening Consumer Nation. To make the RICH richer. To place strip Malls across the Globe. If this War in Iraq were really being fought to make the average American's life better, i would join the Military and fight too. You have been Brainwashed if you believe that you are going to benefit from any of this. Our politicians are bought and paid for by big Business and that is the sad reality.

As stupid as Bush's war is in Iraq (see General Sanchez), oil and access to oil is paramount to keeping our economy going. It isn't true that the war is about oil - the First Gulf War was about that. This war is about nothing. It hasn't helped increase our oil flow and hasn't made Middle Eastern oil safer.
