Was the Iraq War a pretext for Iraq becoming an American Oil Colony; if so,will Iraq in fact be an oil colony?

U.S. sure would like that, but I think that the UN would step in. The U.S. invaded Iraq with fabricated ';intelligence'; and even though the UN did not authorize this, Bush went in anyway. He also did get a lot of oil already, I know that from European newspapers(it might be worth it to read ';The Herald'; online and compare their news with our news.).

No matter what though, Russia and China have a huge interest in Iraq's and Iran's oil as well, so I doubt if the U.S. can just colonize Iraq without a fight first. Was the Iraq War a pretext for Iraq becoming an American Oil Colony; if so,will Iraq in fact be an oil colony?
Looks like it's headed that way, at least until Obama gets elected. Then, hopefully, this country will start getting serious about alternatives to fossil fuel, America's addiction to which has caused thousands of deaths, significant damage to the environment, the inability of the average American to do any traveling, high cost of living, etc. etc. Fossil fuels are from animals that went extinct, and the way it's looking now, we're next in line. I wonder what future civilization, if any, will be using our fossils for energy? Was the Iraq War a pretext for Iraq becoming an American Oil Colony; if so,will Iraq in fact be an oil colony?
If that was the goal, we'd be pumping them dry at this moment.

Doesn't seem to be much basis for this question, does there?
i thought it was a pretext for annexing Iraq as a 51st state
Well considering we don't get any Oil from Iraq, I don't see how.
No! you guys just won't let up.
Of course not stupid! or we would have 50 cent gas right now. What an idiot!
