My sister bought a used car and with vehicle car facts and it has a stripped oil plug. Any advise?

She bought the car in may 10, 2008 for $4,000 and put less than 2,000 miles on it. It died on September 5, 2008. The mechanic says that when the car had an oil change, the plug was stripped. This was slowly leaking and caused a severe knock in the engine. There was a sticker that the dealership was the last to change the oil. The mechanic says that if he got an attorney, he would back her up. My father called and threatened this and the response was that he should do what he has to. Do you have any advice? She doesn't really have the money to pay court fees. Does she try to get a letter from a lawyer? My sister bought a used car and with vehicle car facts and it has a stripped oil plug. Any advise?
It is the responsibility of any individual to check and maintain the fluid level in any vehicle, even if the oil plug was stripped if she had maintained a proper oil level the engine would not have failed, the chances of prevailing in court are virtually non-existent and would probably cost more than the cost of the repairs.~My sister bought a used car and with vehicle car facts and it has a stripped oil plug. Go into the dealership and demand a fix in person. If they give you an excuse or try to give you the runaround. Throw a fit. A huge one. I would recommend you do it in the middle of the day with a lot of customers around.

If they still don't budge. Sue.
