Some con facts about crude oil?

i'm looking to put some facts about oil and how it effects our enviroment, how we're running out and how we should switch to solar for a project. and one have any facts about oil? or even solar would be great!

We are not running out of oil. We are running out of cheap oil.





There are tremendous amounts of oil in places like the Bakken, perhaps the Arctic, offshore Alaska, and all around the world. THe problem is that these deposits are more difficult and expensive to produce. Many also have limitations in how fast they can be produced (e. g. the Alberta tar sands need large quantities of natural gas and water, and this limits production).





Burning oil produces CO2, and the infrastructure necessary for oil based transport degrades the environment local to that infrastructure.





Solar will generally be used for different purposes than oil. Besides being a transportation fuel, oil is also a chemical feedstock, and a very useful and versatile one. Solar makes electricity, which is not as useful for transportation, and useless for chemicals.

Ineffecient (the engine of a car only utilizes about 20% of the energy. the rest is emmited as heat)


loss of habitat- endangered species


drilling for more oil does not lower gas prices very much
if there is a huge supply of oil, which could last us hundreds of years, do you still want evidence that we are running out?
No...we are not gonna run out !
